The Furniture Fest project aims to reduce furniture clutter on the roads in Bellingham and Fairhaven, and redistribute quality furniture to students free of charge. Every year when students move out of their homes, whether it’s in Residence Halls, apartments, or houses, there is an influx of furniture waste that gets dumped on the streets. This project establishes a system where students can donate unwanted furniture into a circular system that will redistribute it back to other students.
