Kristy's outdoor picture.

If I'm living in fantasy land, I would have a booth at the farmers market somewhere warm, selling homemade goods like goat’s milk lotion and lavender chapstick from my little family farm. I think I'll end up in my fantasy life after I do some fighting food insecurity, waste and access here in Bellingham. With my background in nutrition, culinary arts and 10 years in the restaurant industry, I feel that food is at the center of my soul. I dream of a future where every person has access to nutritious whole foods at a reasonable cost. At the moment, I'm interested in looking at the policy behind making that a reality.

I look forward to being part of a group of like-minded folks and gaining hands-on experience on a farm in the summer sun!
