Davis's Casual Headshot

My dream climate-related job looks like establishing local food programs and farms. Specifically, I would love to work with kids in connecting them to the food they eat. My hope with this is to create and nurture sustainable food systems that benefit our planet and people's health, while also fostering mental well-being by helping people connect to something core and beautiful to our existence. The environment/location of my dream job changes when I think about all the ways I want to work with food security and food sovereignty in my lifetime. But for this summer internship, I would love to work with kids on farms in the mountains, so the Classroom in Bloom program seems like the best fit for me.

I am looking forward to learning how to write about food in a way that ignites more direct change. It will also be helpful for me to get in contact with people who are already involved in creating more sustainable food systems. I am also super excited to learn more about farming and teaching methods in immersive ways.
