This grant funded travel and attendance expenses for Dr. Tammi Laninga (Urban and Environmental Planning & Policy) and up to 12 undergraduate students to attend the Washington American Planning Association conference; in addition, the team hosted a share-out seminar for WWU students upon returning from the conference.
The cohort’s goals at the conference:
to present on WWU’s engagement with communities in Washington State to increase their climate resilience through comprehensive plan updates,
to network with professional planners,
To share conference experiences and insights with the WWU community afterwards.
