Zach Atkinson

Zach is from the Bay Area of California and grew up in Marin County, surrounded by redwood forests and rolling green hills. From an early age, he developed a deep appreciation for the natural world and a drive to protect it. Zach’s work at SEI centers on greenhouse gas accounting, updating Western’s Sustainability Action Plan, and developing data visualization for SEI’s website. He is currently pursuing the Climate Leadership Certificate at Western. After graduating, Zach plans to work in the utility regulatory field, helping guide the transition toward a cleaner and more equitable energy system. In his free time, Zach enjoys working out, meditating, going on walks, spending time with friends, and continually finding new ways to learn and grow.
