Annual Awards Celebration
The Sustainable Office Certification Awards Celebration is an annual event, gathering SOC office staff, and the campus community to network, evaluate the program, and celebrate successes. Office working groups that have completed the certification process during the previous year are presented with a framed certificate, signed by President Shepard and the Dean or Vice President of their division. The campus community is welcome to attend, and soup from local seasonal ingredients is provided. The celebration event is scheduled during Sustainability Week each year.
SOC Annual Awards Celebration 2013
Sustainable Office Certification Annual Awards Celebration 2013 was on November 7th from 3pm-5pm in Viking Union 462/463. Department Sustainability Coordinators and their supporters joined in celebrating offices that completed certification during 2013. The weather was perfect for hot soup and mini corn muffins, served as refreshments for the afternoon event. Attendees also had the opportunity to collaborate with Artist/Professor Seiko Purdue for the “Vanishing Ice” exhibit by writing “Wishes for the Planet”.
