Sustainability Across the Curriculum Community of Practice

A group of people, mostly young adults, walk through a lush green meadow towards a wooded area with tall pine trees.

Join Western Washington University’s Sustainability Engagement Institute and Curriculum for the Bioregion partners for Community of Practice sessions with instructors from two- and four-year higher education institutions. These informal sessions will focus on facilitated conversations between instructors on how to incorporate aspects of sustainability into learning outcomes, classroom activities, and assignments across disciplines.

In Spring 2025, we will be hosting the following sessions:

  • April 17, 1:30-2:30pm PST: How to teach the UN's Sustainable Development Goals
  • May 14, 10:30-11:30am PST: How to incorporate contemplative thinking and sustainability into your courses
  • June 3, 3-4pm PST: How to incorporate storytelling into courses to acknowledge and support climate change emotions and experiences

Register for some or all of the sessions.
